Avoid These “Lies” to Stand Out
Sometimes the best way to craft an effective answer is to do what everyone else isn’t. The following words were the most commonly listed amongst all Hinge Members who answered this question:

  • Six: Six was the most commonly listed word, and refers almost exclusively to countries and continents visited. Keep the travel lies (and truths) to yourself!
  • Eat: You won an eating contest? You can eat 12 Chipotle burritos or five pizzas? Awesome — share those talents anywhere but here!
  • Saw:  “Saw” referred most commonly to “weird things” seen on vacation. Perhaps try a more interesting word, like “witnessed”?
  • Rap:  All right, we get it — rapping is a cool hidden talent for an urban professional. You aren’t the first person to be impressed with this quirky skill — think of something more creative!

The takeaway? Be as bizarre and descriptive as possible. As the top answers demonstrate, when it comes to this answer, the weirder, the better.
